Looking out onto the site of the 1864 Battle of Johnsonville, the Johnsonville State Historic Park is a 600-acre day use area. Primary recreational pursuits at the park are fishing along the banks of the Tennessee River and hiking along a six-mile trail, which passes relics from the 19th century battle. It is situated between Camden and Waverly, on the eastern side of the Kentucky Lake.
